What does ARF stand for?

Coming through NM, and want to stay at ARF?

This is a land sanctuary for women only.

There are two guest cabins, space to park a van or car camp, and many locations to pitch your tent for $5.00/night (tent camping and car camping), and $___ for guest cabins. Venmo us at

4WD VEHICLES ONLY may come down the driveway. Otherwise, please park at the top of the hill on Pacheco Canyon Road and walk down. You may want to pop your hood and prop it open to keep the pack rats from building nests in your engine block.

No open campfires, fireworks, or outdoor smoking, please. There is extreme wildfire danger in the mountains.

No guns, hard drugs, or violence.

Friendly doggos are welcome! We have lots of dogs on the land. If your dog is unpredictable with other dogs or humans, please keep your dog on a leash at all times. Aggressive dogs are not allowed on the land.

Garbage and food scraps: Please pack it in, and pack it out. We have no community trash cans. Outhouse is available to share.

Cell service on the land is spotty at best. Go to the Community House for WiFi or to the upper parking area for a signal.

We are in the mountains and there is a lot of wildlife around us. Be watching for bears and coyotes, as they are often on the land. Please keep all food and garbage contained so as not to draw them close to your tent or cabin.

Important note: ARF is very rustic and does not have the amenities you would expect to find at a campground. Think of it as staying in a very remote natural location. The land is mostly impassable in the winter because of deep snow, so guests should contain visits to the warmer months.
